24-May-2004:    Added a new range of External Storage Enclosures
Starmount introduce a range of external storage enclosures which allow users to add an internal device and create a portable storage unit that can be used across various operating systems.  The external storage box's are offered for either 3.5" or 5.25" devices and are available with USB 2.0, Firewire or SATA interfaces.  (For more details, see USB External Storage, Firewire & SATA External Storage).

09-Oct-2003:    Wytron launch a one-to-five DVD Duplicator
Wytron Technology Ltd announce the launch of the DVD-388 model to add to its range of professional duplicators.  The DVD-388 duplicator will be is a one to five CD & DVD duplicator and will significantly enhance the Wytron range by offering a cheaper alternative to its big brother, the DVD-3000.

A few weeks ago, Wytron UK also announced the launch of two new products. Both are one-to-one duplicators in the form of 5.25" bay controllers.  Traditionally, all Wytron 1:1 duplicators were shipped with integrated cases & controllers, but now the CD-129 and the DVD-299 offer users the option of choosing their own style of case housing.

8-Sep-2003:     Wytron unveil the DVD-3000 (a one-to-nine CD & DVD Duplicator).
Wytron Technology announce the DVD-3000, which uses the latest technology, and confirm that the older DVD-2000 model is no longer in production.  The DVD-3000 unit boasts a number of improvements over the previous model, such as support for 9 DVD writers and hardware support up to 16x DVD writing speeds.

On the CD side the Wytron CD-398  is the replacement for the older CD-298 model, which is no longer in production.  Similar to the improved DVD model, the CD-398 unit boasts a number of improvements over the CD-298, such as support for 9 DVD writers etc. 

13-Aug-2003:     Launch of Wytron one-to-one DVD Duplicator unit with in-built USB interface support.
This unit is a beautifully designed, highly robust, reliable and portable unit.  A step up from the successful DVD-199 product, the Wytron DVD-299U can be used as a stand-alone DVD duplicator, but can easily be connected to a PC via the in-built USB interface so that the DVD writer can be accessed from your host computer system (PC or Mac).  Users can switch between stand-alone mode and host-connected mode at the flick of a switch.  The duplicator will happily copy DVD-R and DVD+R depending on the specification of your chosen devices.
Also available, Wytron CD-129U the CD 1:1 duplicator equivalent with USB interface.

20-Aug-2002:     Added a range of Multi-Flip CD Labels and coated inkjet paper
Added Multi-Flip CD labels (matte & gloss) and Multi_Flip business card labels (curved and rectangular).
Added "Glacier" branded matte coated paper for use with colour inkjet printers.
14-Aug-2002: Massive price reductions on our range of epson inkjet compatible printer cartridges. Prices as low as £6.00 for a pair of black & colour inkjet cartridges.
02-Aug-2002: Added Wytron DVD Duplication controllers
Added Wytron DVD-199 (1-1 DVD Duplicator) and the Wytron DVD-2000 (a multi-target DVD duplicator which is capable of copying from a single DVD master to a max. of seven DVD writers simoultaneously).
18-July-2002: Added single DVD case and double DVD cases.
26-Jun-2002: Added range of Burn-Rite "True Silver" printable CDR
Added 8cm and 12cm white inkjet printable CDR to Burn-Rite range. These are white printable CDR with a true silver (diamond) recording dye. Nearest thing to a commercially mastered or pressed CD.
01-May-2002: Wytron CD Duplication controllers
Added a range of Wytron CD Duplicator units, from the Wytron standalone single target IDE duplicator to multi-target IDE and SCSI duplicators. The Wytron 298 duplicater is capable of controlling up to seven IDE writers, whilst the Wytron 268 duplicator is capable of handling up to 14 SCSI writers. Both IDE and SCSI models are available as either as controller-only or pre-populated with compatible writers.

30-Jan-2001: Jewel cases
Now available, single jewel cases with black or clear tray insert. Also available, unassembled clear jewel boxes and either black or clear tray inserts.

17-Oct-2000: Carbon (Black) CDR and CD Paper Sleeves
At the request of our customers, we have now introduced paper sleeves for standard CDR (12cm). The CD paper sleeves have a transparent front circular window and flap. Also, introduced a much awaited black-underside CDR. The carbon black CDR is available in two brands :- Hi-Space and Megadata. Perfect for backing up your original console software and other standard data applications.

05-Sep-2000: SCA LVD/SE Adapter (unterminated)
This new multi-mode, low-profile SCA adapter will convert from SCA 80 to 68pin, allowing connection of a SCA peripheral to a 68pin internal cable. The SCA adapter has no in-built termination and hence multiple adapters can be used on the same bus. This SCA adapter will work correctly in SE mode or at Ultra-2 and Ultra-160 speeds.

31-Jul-2000: Additional of various USB, Firewire and SCSI products
Added USB to SCSI cable adapters, Firewire to IDE (hard disk) external boxes, longer Firewire cables (5m), a range of SCSI external terminators and SCSI VHDCI cables. Also added the much-awaited plastic sleeve wallets for our 8cm CDR.

25-Jun-2000: Inkjet Printable CDR labels and inserts
Added a range of white printable CDR labels and CD inserts. These are available as A4 sheets in standard white printable, 1440dpi white matt or 1440dpi white glossy. The CD inserts are printable on both sides. Also available, CD labels for 8cm CDR in photo-quality 1440dpi glossy white, A4 sheet with 6 labels/sheet.

08-Jun-2000: CD Label Applicator for Business Card CDR
Our new multi-function CD label applicator is retail boxed and fits most Business card CDs as well as 6, 8 & 12 cm CDR and DVD media. (Fits 56, 57, 58, 60, 61 and 62 mm wide Business card CDR).

11-May-2000: Business Card CDR - Retail Pack
Our new Business Card Retail pack is available now and is ideal for low-volume applications. This pack contains 12 e-card CDR (business card size) with plastic wallets, 16 labels and design software. The labels are designed to be used in a standard inkjet (etc.) printer and will accept high-quality 1440dpi colour printing. Also available now, the business card CDR on spindle with an "unbranded" upper surface which will accept e-Card cdr labels.

20-Mar-2000: Introduced CTX CD-R80
The popular CTX silver/blue CDR is now available in 700Mb/80min format. Much like its 650Mb predecessor, each disc includes inserts and is wrapped. Available in attractive retail 10-packs.

14-Feb-2000: Empty Jewel Cases - Single & Double ** Now in Stock **
By popular request of our customers, we have now added both single and double (empty) jewel cases to our stock list. The jewel cases are clear plastic with a black CD tray. The double jewel cases are the same size as a single jewel case, but hold two CD's.

10-Feb-2000: Launch of unbranded 8cm CDR ** Now in Stock **
Introduced a true 8cm CDR. The 8cm CDR is available as an unbranded silver/blue recordable CD.

13-Jan-2000: Added Verbatim DataLife Plus CDR, 650Mb

02-Dec-1999: CTX CDR-74 Jewel, Lead Data Neutral CDR-74 Jewel & CDR-80 on spindle
Launched the CTX branded 74min CDR and an increased our "neutral" CDR offerings (unbranded upper surface) with the introduction of the Lead-Data Neutral CDR74. Also, the popular Lead-Data 80min CDR is now available on spindle's of 100.

16-Nov-1999: LVD Internal Cables & Internal LVD Terminators  
Introduced a number of additional SCSI LVD (Ultra 2) cables for use with 3 & 7 devices. Cable lengths 100cm & 175cm respectively. Also, added internal 68pin LVD terminators for use with any of our internal 68pin LVD cables.

09-Nov-1999: Logo SmartMedia & CompactFlash cards  
SmartMedia and CompactFlash memory cards will initially be available in 8Mb, 16Mb and 32Mb modules. These memory cards can be used in a variety of applications, such as digital camera's and commercial MP3 players.

Introduction of the following new products :-
08-Oct-1999:  Launch of "Credit Card Size CDR"
The new card CDR media will initially be available with a data capacity of 50Mb, a printable white upper surface and a gold recording surface for the ultimate in data life. The size of the card CDR is similar to that of a business or credit card and each card is supplied with a protective plastic wallet.

17-Aug-1999:  Launch of Samsung Digital Audio CD-R
Available now, the Samsung CD-RDA for digital audio recording are perfect for home audio recording and demo duplication by artists for professional submissions. The digital audio CD-R has a cyanine (green) recording dye and a silver reflective layer. Product packaging: Retail 10-pack, jewel cases and inserts.

27-July-1999:  UNBRANDED 80 min CDR media at 74 min prices
Starmount introduced the Lead Data Neutral 703Mb / 80 minute CDR. These "neutral" CDR disc's look similar to unbranded discs (blank upper surface) but the source of manufacture is clearly recognisable by the packaging, so customers are guaranteed consistent Grade A quality. Available in attractive retail 10-packs, each CD is jewel cased, includes a CD insert and is individually wrapped.

Traxdata logo     Starmount are appointed official UK distributor status by Traxdata.
The Traxdata CD media range is impressive, including both 74 min/80 min versions of CDR and digital audio CDR. The Traxdata CDR are available in gold or silver recording surfaces with a choice of either jewel case or soft pack packaging. This media is certified for writing at speeds of up to 8x.
