DescriptionThese enclosures allow users to enclose multiple SATA II hard disk drives in one external enclosure. The resulting drives can be connected to a PC via a single E-SATA2 cable. This solution can support large drives, potentially easily creating terrabytes of external storage through E-SATA2. Ideal for users who require a fast and cost effective storage solution.
The enclosures can support a maximum of five SATA2 3.5" hard disk drives, which can be operated as:- Separate HDDs on one E-SATA cable.
- Multiple JBOD drives (Just a bunch of disks) - each JBOD uses multiple HDD's to form larger JBOD HDD's.
- One single drive which is roughly the capacity all the individual drives put together. (Multi drive JBOD).
- Raid 5 support. (If a suitable raid 5 controller is used).
Hard disk drives are not included.
