Overview
Our new generation of external storage cases are ideal for housing a standard 3.5" or 5.25" internal IDE device (such as a hard drive or a DVD writer) and enabling connection to a PC, laptop or Mac system at high-speed via USB 2.0 or Firewire IEEE-1394A.

They are excellent for turning an internal hard drive, or a CD/DVD drive into a portable external device. When installing a hard drive, no additional mounting kits or blanking plates are required.  Additionally, the 3.5"/5.25" combo models feature an integrated 4cm cooling fan and a 3.5mm audio output socket.

The item is retail boxed and includes everything you need to built a portable drive, except the drive itself.  It includes external box, mounting screws, UK power cable, USB cable, Firewire cable, user manual, assembly sheet, driver CD and a blanking plate (for use when a hard drive installed).
